BRB Jar Feeder Instructions
Tools and Materials Needed (Not Provided):
Drill
1" Drill Bit
Phillips Screwdriver or Screw Tip
Caulk - Exterior
Wide-mouth Canning Jar
1. Remove the plug from the base plate by prying up one edge with hive tool.
2. Drill a 1" hole in the outer cover, usually in the center.
3. Apply a bead of caulk in the grove on the bottom of the base plate.
4. Align the center hole in the base plate to the hole on top outer cover and attach with the 3 screws provided.
5. Allow for the recommended time for the caulk to dry before placing back on hive.
6. Fill the Canning Jar with the desired sugar water mixture and attach assembled riser to the jar. (Don't overtighten)
7. Adjust the shutter to the desired number of holes exposed for the bees to feed on.
8. Place the riser and jar over the base plate assuring it's sitting flush with the hive cover.
9. When not feeding, press plug in hole on base plate until it snaps.
Notes:
Canning jars are recommended as they will make a better seal between the jar and lid.
Caution: Not Dishwasher safe and do NOT store >140⁰F.

Means of cutting 3" hole in bucket lid
Phillips Screwdriver or Screw Tip
Caulk - Exterior
1 gal bucket with sealable lid
1. Remove the plug from the base plate by prying up one edge with hive tool.
2. Drill a 1" hole in the outer cover, usually in the center.
3. Apply a bead of caulk in the grove on the bottom of the base plate.
4. Align the center hole in the base plate to the hole on top outer cover and attach with the 3 screws provided.
5. Allow for the recommended time for the caulk to dry before placing back on hive.
6. Drill or cut a 3" hole in the center of the bucket lid.
7. Apply a small bead of caulk to the nut and insert through the hole from the outside.
8. Screw the cap with shutter on from the inside and tighten by hand until flush with lid.
9. Remove any caulk that has been pushed out on both sides and allow for caulk to dry according to recommended time.
10. Install adapter ring over base plate.
11. Fill bucket with desired sugar water mixture.
12. Invert over adapter ring insuring that bucket is sitting flush with the ring.
Caution: Not Dishwasher safe and do NOT store >140°F.
